I’m inspired by the beauty of God’s Creation, the joy of friends and family, the fierce determination of the athlete, and the challenge of capturing each of those in photographic images. 

As a photographer my journey began in high school using my teacher’s vintage camera and rolls of black & white film that sometimes turned into wonderful photos after a session in a darkroom.

Since then, photography’s moved into the digital age – My rolls of film replaced by memory cards, my tub of “fixer” in the darkroom replaced by Lightroom and Photoshop. Learning the craft of photography is a wonderful life-long journey and one I’m thankful to be on. 

As a 35 year fly fisher, I joke that I “catch & release” the trout I catch, but when I capture a good photograph it’s strictly “catch & keep,” saved to enjoy again and again.
